Windstar Cruises

Offering two different types of ‘yacht-like’ cruise ships, Windstar Cruises features ships with less than 350 guests on all of their ships. The three original Windstar ships are sailing yachts with huge, motorized sails and the onboard experience is truly like that of being on a large private yacht. The sails are only used from time to time (motor power is used, as well), but when they are unfurled, the experience is fantastic! Then there are Windstar’s more recent additions, the ‘motor yachts’. These all-suite ships have all been recently completely refurbished and are nothing short of just wonderful!

Regardless of which type of Windstar ship you select, you’ll find very personalized service, impressive dining, and itineraries which include many ports not available to larger, traditional ships. These itineraries include such destinations as the Greek Isles, Mediterranean, Caribbean, South Pacific, Asia, Alaska, and Canada/New England.

When the itinerary allows, you might enjoy using the marina, which is a platform area on the back of the ship. From here you can experience a Kayak in the Mediterranean, or maybe paddle boarding in Tahiti; there are a variety of water toys which are all included. Inside your cabin, very nice amenities range from the plush leather headboard to the fine Egyptian linens and marble bathroom. Enjoy the thoughtfully designed spaces, with more room for storage than you’ve ever imagined finding on a ship, and the luxurious touches just for your pleasure, like L’Occitane bath products.

A Windstar cruise is a very upscale experience, but with out the higher rates of more deluxe lines.
